Jessica offers a supportive and collaborative environment, specializing in helping individuals and families navigate emotional hurdles and build lasting resilience:
I enjoy working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families.
Jessica utilizes evidence-based, person-centered approaches to help clients gain confidence and move toward a life they feel proud of:
I am currently in the Master of Social Work program at Brigham Young University. Previously, I had several years of experience working in an adolescent residential treatment environment working with a variety of mental health problem areas, including OCD. The experiences I had there led to an increased passion for mental health and advocating for each individual to have an environment where they can feel supported and confident in overcoming obstacles and reaching their goals.
I love to hear the experiences of each person and create a space where they can feel accepted and build skills that help them move forward in their life. Being able to understand what is important to an individual and working collaboratively with them to get there through the highs and lows brings me a lot of joy. Getting to see an individual increasingly see themselves as someone capable, confident, and of worth is why I do what I do.
There are so many factors in life that can feel out of our control, so my goal is to help each person work with what they can control and create a life that they feel proud of. To do this, I also strongly believe that it is important to not only help children and youth heal, but to work with the family to heal together. For individuals, I also believe it is important to utilize a systems theory to understand all the factors at play around them and support lasting change.
In my free time I love playing soccer and pickleball, being outside, listening to a good podcast, and spending time with my friends and family.
