Why Mindset Family Therapy?

It is inspiring and humbling to witness the progress of our clients. At times, it’s been nothing short of miraculous. Our job is most rewarding when we see families, couples, and individuals fully engage in treatment and experience their journey back to living a more enriching, value-centered life. We know this is also possible for you.

As someone dear to us once said, “at the end of the day, it’s all about the people.” We try to make a difference one client and one family at a time. We’re excited to share with you what we know. We only ask that you come ready to learn and be willing to implement what is taught.

We are client-centered therapists trained to use evidence-based practices. We believe this is essential for our clients’ success in their treatment. We are trained with the following psychotherapy modalities: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention), ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a leading trauma treatment, Solution-Focused Therapy, Play Therapy, Child-Parent Relationship Therapy, Structural and Attachment theory models.

We believe that mindfulness is essential in any type of treatment. Mindfulness (awareness training) is a simple, gentle approach that reminds us of the sweetness and relief that can be found in embracing the present. You will learn that instead of trying to control what you are experiencing — you can learn to observe, in a welcoming and non-critical way. As you start to become more accepting and comfortable with your interior landscape, you will start to see and feel things differently.

As a therapy staff we have over 68 years of combined therapy experience. We are ready, willing, and able to professionally address your individual needs. We are ready to share a wealth of knowledge from leading sources and cutting-edge research from neuroscience, psychology, and related fields.

Ultimately, the goal is to get you out of treatment and back into your life — independent with a newly acquired toolbox that empowers you to handle whatever storms may come your way.
