Life can be hard and sometimes we need help to find our way to hope and healing. Whether you are experiencing, depression, anxiety, attachment difficulties, PTSD or the effects of trauma, my main priority is helping you find the peace, hope and healing that you are seeking in your life. I have a passion for helping people work through emotional distress and trauma.
I work collaboratively with my clients to determine what treatment approach will best meet their current needs. I have advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a leading trauma treatment, and use it with my clients to help them recover from distressing life events.
I enjoy working with a wide age range, from young children to adults. I use other evidence-based treatment approaches such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Play Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I also have experience working with caregivers on using parenting strategies that connect them with their children, even when their children exhibit difficult behaviors.
Along with difficulties come resiliency and I see so much strength in the clients that I meet with. Hope and healing are possible, I wouldn’t be in this profession if I thought otherwise. People can improve, heal and find hope and it is an honor for me to be part of that journey.
I love what I do, and I love learning, so when I’m not working, I can often be found with some sort of therapy book in my hands. Spending time with my family is another thing that makes my heart happy. I enjoy trying new recipes and experimenting with flavor combinations in the kitchen.
